Saturn turns a sentence into a working app. This page says what that costs you in data — every piece, where it goes, and how to get rid of it.
The short version
- We hold your name, your email, and the chats you choose to keep.
- What you type is sent to an AI model to be answered. It is not used to train anyone's model.
- We do not sell anything about you, and we run no advertising.
- You can delete your account, and everything attached to it, from inside the app.
What we collect
When you sign in
Saturn offers three ways in, and each hands us something different.

The name and email exist to label the account so you can tell it is yours. You can also skip signing in entirely — tap Not now — and use the app with no account at all, in which case we hold nothing.
When you build something
- Your prompt — what you type or dictate into the composer, and any photo you attach.
- The result — the app description Saturn renders as a preview, and the source project it writes.
- The thread — the back-and-forth of a chat, so you can reopen it.
If you are signed in, these are stored against your account so they follow you to another device. If you are not, they stay on your phone and we never see them.
Usage and billing
- Credits — how many builds you have run this month, which model each used, and what it cost in credits. This is a ledger of numbers; it does not contain your prompts.
- Your plan — free, Pro or Max, and when the period ends.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your card, and Apple tells us only that a subscription is active.
Where your prompt actually goes
This is the part worth reading slowly, because it is the one thing about Saturn that involves another company by design.
When you build, your prompt travels from the app to Saturn's own server, and from there to whichever AI model you picked in the model selector. The reply comes back the same way. Saturn's server sits in the middle so that the API keys stay on our side rather than in the app, and so we can count your credits before the request goes out.
Depending on the model you choose, the company answering is one of:
- Anthropic — Opus, Sonnet, Fable, Haiku
- OpenAI — Codex
- Google — Gemini
- xAI — Grok
- Moonshot — Kimi
Under those companies' API terms, content sent through the API is not used to train their public models. The model you have chosen is shown in the pill at the top of the screen before you send anything, and you can change it at any time.
Who else touches your data

We do not use advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or tracking of any kind. Saturn does not ask for the App Tracking Transparency permission because there is nothing it would be used for.
Your phone's permissions
Saturn asks for three things, and only at the moment you use the feature that needs them.
- Camera — to photograph something as the brief for an app. The photo is sent to the model with your prompt. It is not stored anywhere else.
- Photo library — the same, for a picture you already have.
- Microphone and speech recognition — to dictate a prompt instead of typing it. The speech is turned into text by Apple's on-device recogniser; the audio does not leave your phone, and only the resulting text is sent, exactly as if you had typed it.
Declining any of them leaves the rest of the app working normally.
How long we keep things
- Account, chats and built apps — until you delete them, or until you delete your account.
- The credit ledger — 12 months, so a billing question has an answer.
- Deleted accounts — removed immediately, and gone from backups within 30 days.
Deleting your account
In the app: Settings → Delete account. It removes your account, every chat, every app you built, your credit balance and your ledger. It is immediate and cannot be undone, and there is no separate step, form or email involved.
Deleting a single chat, without touching the account, is a swipe on the chat in the sidebar.
Your rights
You can see, correct, export or delete what we hold. Export is in the app — every project can be downloaded as a real source project. For anything else, or if you are in the EU or UK and want to exercise a right under GDPR, write to hello@thesaturn.dev and we will answer within 30 days.
Security
Everything travels over HTTPS. Your session token is kept in the iOS Keychain rather than in ordinary storage. On the server, each person's rows are readable only with their own credentials, enforced by the database itself and not by the app's good behaviour. The AI providers' API keys are held only on our server and are never present in the app you download.
Children
Saturn is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we do with your data, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
